Students are more technologically savvy than ever, and colleges are struggling to keep up with high school students' expectations for a college website.

As a result, colleges have created websites that allow for students to apply online, contact admissions officers online, and track the status of their application step by step.

Colleges are also giving students and parents more information about the institution and local area online, so that students will have a preview of the campus before they visit. So if there are colleges out there that interest you, spend some time finding out what they have posted online, and what features might make application and enrollment a smoother process.
