A soldier at Iraq's 85th Medical Detachment (Combat Stress Control) creates a makeshift computer lab with laptops collected, refurbished and sent overseas by Northville dentist Jim Payne

Northville dentist Jim Payne is at it again, shipping computers off to Iraq so our troops can communicate with loved ones at home.

This time he’s sent more than a dozen computers and cameras to a combat stress control medical unit at FOB Diamondback in Iraq.

In many locations around the world, American troops have terrific Internet connectivity — but no computers to use to Skype, e-mail or IM the folks back home.

Well, you can help fix that by donating a good used laptop to Payne’s JDS Computers and help our soliders feel a little closer to home. E-mail or visit
