Troy Payments Firm Gets Partner, Customer

Point & Pay, a subsidiary of Troy-based North American Bancard Inc., Wednesday announced a new business partnership with BS&A Software along with the acquisition of the city of Dearborn as a client.

Point & Pay provides electronic payment systems for government agencies and utilities.

Point & Pay's new partnership enables full integration of the company's electronic payment solutions with the tax and fee assessing and accounting systems created by BS&A Software, a Bath-based provider of software systems for local government in Michigan. Together, the systems enable Michigan citizens to pay local government taxes and fees online, over the phone, or in a government office by using a major credit or debit card.

The city of Dearborn, a new Point & Pay client, is among the first to benefit from the company's integration with BS&A's software.

"The city of Dearborn's new systems give their citizens a fast, convenient and secure payment option, and improve the accounting and reporting process for their Treasury Division employees," said Point & Pay president Kevin Connell.

"In Point & Pay, we have found a responsive partner that shares our commitment to providing the highest quality products and exceptional client service," said BS&A president Tom Szur. "The flexible systems we can provide for Michigan's local government offices such as the city of Dearborn are streamlining the tax collections and accounting process."

Dearborn's Treasury Online Services, featuring systems by BS&A Software and payment solutions by Point & Pay, are available at http://is.bsasoftware.com/bsa.is/default.aspx.  For more information on Point & Pay, visit http://www.pointandpay.com.
