2,000 Lose Power In Farmington Hills

Farmington Hills fire crews were on the scene of a downed power line Monday afternoon. Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that the line fell on a fence near Haggerty Road south of Nine Mile.

The resulting charge caught the grass on the fire.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or evacuations in the area, but 2,000 homes and businesses were without power.  A DTE spokesman said they hoped to have the power restored by about 4 p.m.
