Schuette, Leyton Cover Ground In AG's Race Push
Former state Court of Appeals Judge Bill Schuette and Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton are covering a lot of ground as part of their final push to sway voters in the race for Michigan attorney general.
Schuette is the Republican nominee. His scheduled stops Monday include Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Jackson and Ann Arbor.
Leyton is the Democratic candidate. He campaigned Monday morning in Detroit, and had stops scheduled later in the day in Southfield, Detroit and Ann Arbor.
Others in the race include Libertarian candidate Daniel Grow and Gerald Van Sickle of the U.S. Taxpayers Party.
The winner will replace Republican Attorney General Mike Cox, who can't run again after eight years because of term limits.
