drunk driving penalty. 1984 my lawyer said do your drinking & driving south of 8 mile, get caught, slap on wrist, continue to drink. 2006 farm hills stiff penaly/manditory treatment+12 step – sober for 5 years- best thing that ever happened to me & everyone around me. plus i have a career as a designated driver lol. forget “fair” or “one size fits all” remember it’s the drunk driver making the cops/court do their job, accepting that responsibility is THE lesson all drinkers should learn. Teach all first timers that lesson, identify, treat or remove repeat offenders according to what works best for those involved and each communities needs & resources – they are working hard on the problem. btw one guy drinks once a year is served an extra jello shot (by a pretty lady) leads to 1st offense, joe-24-pack-a-day finally gets caught 1st offense. both can harm themself/others, are they the same? you get the picture… thanx
