For Stomachaches, Try Ginger

Kids often find themselves with an upset stomach or motion sickness, and parents can feel uncomfortable with using over the counter medication to treat the symptoms. One natural alternative in ginger, an herb that has been used for centuries as a remedy to treat an upset stomach and nausea. Other studies indicate that ginger can decrease blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides and inflammation. Try to include ginger in your diet by drinking ginger tea, adding powdered ginger into your baked goods or chewing on candied ginger when traveling to avoid motion sickness.
