Dense Fog Over Michigan Leads To School Closings

Dense fog in parts of Michigan has led to some school closings and warnings about driving conditions.  The National Weather Service on Tuesday morning listed dense fog advisories for parts of the northern Lower Peninsula and the eastern Upper Peninsula.

The advisories warn about hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant reports the fog led to school closings in communities including Mount Pleasant, Shepherd, Alma and St. Louis. Some other schools delayed their openings due to fog.

Along the Detroit River in downtown Detroit, fog quickly moved in and blocked out what had been sunny morning skies.
