A hunting accident in northern Oakland County leaves a 31-year old man dead. Michigan State Police say the hunter, who is from the Pontiac area, fell out of a tree stand near the Holly Recreation Area at Fagan and Lahring roads Tuesday night.

The man, who was found by fellow hunters, was pronounced dead at the scene. No foul play is suspected.

Firearm deer hunting season begins on Monday.
