NEF To Meet On 'Entrepreneurs and the Pricing Puzzle': Are you a new entrepreneur wondering the best way for your company to set product pricing? The Ann Arbor New Enterprise Forum November program will take you through the process of market data analysis and model testing that will ensure a sound pricing strategy – and a healthy enterprise. The forum, titled "Entrepreneurs and the Pricing Puzzle", will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, and starts at 5 p.m., with the program beginning at 5:45 p.m., at the Holiday Inn North Campus, 3600 Plymouth Road, in Ann Arbor. Participants for this event include Lawrence "Lawry" Dolph, founder and managing director of RFD Insight Inc., a turnaround firm; Tom Meloche, president and CEO at Procuit Inc., which provides research-backed tools that rapidly and cost-effectively create skilled, knowledgeable workers; and Massimo Baldini, president and partner at Myine Electronics, a Ferndale-based company that manufactures high-quality electronic audio products. Also on the program is a 10-minute presentation by serial entrepreneur Richard Goldstein of GPX Software, which has developed a software-as-a-service Web site that delivers integrated budgeting, analysis, and reporting in just a few hours. The evening's agenda includes hors d'oeuvres, and Open Forum, a segment in which we pass the microphone for Business Introductions -- attendees have the opportunity to make a concise, 10-second pitch for themselves, their company, product, service, or need. Avoidable Patient Errors Topic Of International Symposium: Preventable hospital errors kill up to 98,000 hospital patients a year in the U.S., and another 24,000 in Canada, and fully 20 percent of hospital patients experience adverse events.
