Finding Michigan's Business Focus

What's ahead for the Michigan economy? And what does Michigan have to do to become a major economic player in the United States? That was the focus of Inforum Economic Outlook 2011, held at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Thursday.

WWJ's Pat Sweeting spoke with president and CEO of Ann Arbor's SPARK, Michael Finney. "We've got to get out of our own way, I travel a lot and when I travel and talk to Michiganders, (I find) they typically are not selling the state, we've got to start selling our state and be proud of were we are from."

Finney was among the speakers at Inforum's Economic Outlook event. The panel looked at national and local trends likely to have an impact on individuals and the Michigan economy, in the upcoming year.
