Red Wings' Jiri Hudler Looks To Get Back On Track
Red Wings coach Mike Babcock has a dilemma: How much does he alter his lines for Jiri Hudler's sake, and which undeserving forward should miss a game?
Babcock shuffled his lines at Wednesday's practice, but afterward said it's unlikely they'll remain that way for tonight's game against Edmonton at Joe Louis Arena.
The most intriguing new combination had Hudler with Valtteri Filppula and Danny Cleary, both guys Hudler has had chemistry with in the past. The Wings want Hudler to get going -- he has no goals and three assists in 11 games -- but Filppula has been playing well between Johan Franzen and Todd Bertuzzi, and Cleary has been outstanding with Mike Modano and Justin Abdelkader.
