Mysterious Powerball Winners Revealed

It's a mystery solved. A $129 million Powerball lottery ticket sold at an urban porn shop is being split by members "Team Victory," a group primarily from southeast Michigan.

Michigan Powerball rules do not allow winners to remain anonymous. So, to gather the winnings, the holder of the ticket was required to go public.

Group members weren't saying Friday if the winning ticket was bought inside the adult-oriented Uptown Book Store or at the outside, walk-up lottery ticket window.

WWJ's Vickie Thomas spoke with the store's owner, Sam Soof, who said business has picked up as more lotto players hope to catch some of the good luck.

"We've had a few extra customers coming in from long distances away, just 'cause we've sold a hot ticket," he said.

Since the numbers were read, there have been a lot of snickers about the x-rated origin of the winning ticket, but Soof said he loves the industry, and the jokes don't bother him.

The check was picked up, Friday, by a group representative. Mike Greer of Farmington Hills said he doesn't know the details of the ticket purchase and that group members didn't care where it was bought.

Greer said he didn't buy the ticket himself.
