While many kids do not love to write, they all love to hear the sound of your voice. With improvements in technology, most computer users are now able to record sound on their computer, create a file, and post it to the Internet or to Facebook. 826 Michigan has used this technology to create files of their elementary age students reading their poetry about superheroes out loud, and then sending it to parents. You can do the same with your child and his or her friends, and allow them to show the work to friends and relatives, giving your child a true media audience at an early age.
