Off-Duty Detroit Cop Shot
A Detroit off-duty police officer has been shot on the city's west side. The officer was in his parked personal car.
Details are still unraveling, but WWJ Newsradio 950 has learned that it happened between Martindale and Beechwood during the overnight hours. A bullet apparently grazed the 23-year veteran officer in the neck. He was rushed to an area hospital, reportedly in stable condition.
No one is in custody and authorities tell WWJ that their investigation is ongoing.
