Local School District Holds Garage Sale

Dozens of people turning out Thursday morning for the Farmington Public School district's garage sale.

The district has sales like this every year, but this is the first for school buildings now closed. Last school year the district closed four of its elementary schools and is now looking to sell-off the remaining items inside the buildings.

The big draw is the electronics, though somewhat dated, that include 32" Panasonic TVs for $20, HP 5000 desktop computers for $100 and Panasonic VCRs for $10. Other items include teacher desks, assorted tables and chairs, file cabinets, computer tables, children's toys and furniture and more.

The district is holding the garage sales Thursday at Eagle Elementary School (29410 W. 14 Mile Road, West Bloomfield), 7am to 11:30am; and Wooddale Elementary School (34275 Oak Forest, Farmington Hills), 1pm - 5:30pm.

And on Friday, November 19 at William Grace Elementary School (29040 Shiawassee, Farmington Hills), 7am - 11:30am; and Flanders Elementary School (32600 Flanders Street, Farmington Hills), 1pm-5:30pm.
