The recession has been brutal — particularly for taxpayers who may be in some trouble with the Internal Revenue Service.
Lawrence Levy, of Levy and Associates in Southfield, will be part of a weekend seminar to help people learn how to dig out.
“They don’t file, because they believe that it’s going to eventually catch up, so they they try to postpone the inevetable,” Levy said.
“The biggest mistake is people just bury their head in the sand, and it just becomes a domino or a snowball effect. And you just need to stop the bleeding,” he said.
Levy says there are many things taxpayers can do to make the inevitable less painful.
Levy and a former IRS agent are offering advice at a FREE seminar this Saturday (November 20th) at the Embassy Suites Hotel Southfield.
RSVPs are required. Call (248) 557-4048.
