Global Battery Show Coming To Rock Showplace In 2011

The Battery Show 2011, a global trade show on advanced battery technology, will be held Oct. 25-27 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi.

Focused on advanced battery technology, conference organizers say the event will give those in the global battery industry an unrivalled opportunity to meet with battery buyers, designers, scientists and technicians from the automakers, electric utilities, portable electronics manufacturers as well as state and federal government.

They said they chose Mcihgian in part becasue it is a world leader in the use and application of renewable energy and is the heart of the electric vehicle industry. In a little over a year, Michigan won 17 of the global industry's best-practice companies. The state is also home to more than 330 transportation R&D companies, more than 65,000 engineers and world-class engineering schools.

The 2010 event was held at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
