Danny Cleary has been hit hard before, but this was different.
Cleary was back at practice Tuesday, two days after being checked hard into the glass by Flames defenseman Mark Giordano.
Cleary left that game and didn't return. But the Wings' day off yesterday helped, and he was on the ice Tuesday.
"I feel pretty good," said Cleary, who expects to play Wednesday in Atlanta. "I worked out and skated. I felt pretty good today.
"I hit my head against the glass (Sunday) and my whole body went numb for a few seconds. I had to regroup myself. It was weird. I never felt like that before.
"I've been hit hard, knocked out, but nothing like that. It was a weird feeling."
