Bright House Adds ESPN3.com, Live Online Events

Bright House Networks customers who receive ESPN as part of their video service now have access to ESPN3.com and ESPN live online at no additional cost.

ESPN3.com is a 24/7 broadband sports network delivering live events to fans through a rich, interactive, and easy-to-use experience.

Both ESPN live online and ESPN3.com are available to Bright House Networks video customers who have a My Services account.

To pre-register for a My Services account, Bright House Networks customers can go to www.brighthouse.com/myservices.

At launch, ESPN3.com gives customers thousands of live games and events online in both standard and HD-quality format. A majority of the events are exclusive to ESPN3.com, while others are broadband-enhanced versions of games from one of ESPN's TV networks.  Customers have access to college football and basketball, baseball, top international soccer, The Masters and U.S. Open Golf, all four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, and more that they can enjoy at home or remotely. The network also features all GamePlan college football games and FullCourt college basketball games. In addition, ESPN3.com offers viewers a fully interactive experience with real time in-game stats and scoreboards and live chat.

The new authenticated service gives Bright House Networks customers the opportunity to watch ESPN's linear network live online.  In the near future, access to ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater will also be offered through this same process, as well as on any device with Internet access including mobile phones and tablets.  Customers have access to channels through a centralized web site, ESPNnetworks.com.

"By adding these services, we are providing yet another opportunity to receive interactive programming that customers can enjoy anywhere, anytime," said Robert McCann, president of Bright House's Detroit Division.

Bright House Networks is the sixth largest owner and operator of cable systems in the United States with systems in Michigan and four other states, Florida, Alabama, Indiana and California, serving more than 2.4 million customers. In Michigan, Bright House serves Farmington, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Northville, Novi and Redford Township.
