Michigan State vs. Bowling Green

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Durrell Summers scored 14 points, and No. 6 Michigan State went on a 21-1 run early in the second half to put away Bowling Green in a 74-39 victory Saturday.

The Spartans (6-2) were coming off a five-point loss at Duke on Wednesday and didn't look sharp at all in the early going. They turned the ball over 12 times in the first half and shot 30 percent from the field, but Bowling Green (1-7) shot just as poorly.

The Spartans entered halftime with a 25-19 advantage.

The Falcons scored the first four points of the second half before Summers and Korie Lucious made back-to-back 3-pointers and Draymond Green added a putback to push Michigan State's lead into double digits. Keith Appling then added two 3-pointers, Summers made another and Lucious scored from inside the arc for a 46-24 advantage.
