Students Find Burned Body In Detroit
It was frightening walk to school for some Detroit students Monday as they discovered the dead body of a man who was apparently set on fire. The body was found in front of a burned out building on Nashville Street near Gratiot and Connor on the city's east side.
The kids spotted the body around 7:30 a.m. and notified neighbors who then called police. Neighbors tried to block off the street so children couldn't see the body, which has not been identified.
Detroit Police spokesman Yvette Walker said the body was taken to Wayne County Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
