They come from the land of the ice and snow. I love Zepplin and pro football so it was an easy sell for me at Ford Field last night. After listening to 97.1 The Ticket all day I was a little worried that this thing could get out of hand or something but nothing bad at all from what I saw.
Great time. Great crowd. I sat on the Vikings (Lions) side on the 25 yard line, row nine.
It felt a lot more like a baseball crowd with the wave rolling during the game.
The chants were awesome for a Vikings/Giants game. "Let's go Red Wings", "Let's go Lions" and even a little "Fire Millen" broke out.
CHEERLEADERS
I have seen cheerleaders before and my plan was not to sit right in front of those cheerleaders nine rows up but WOW. The Detroit Lions need cheerleaders down on the field during the game. The crowd was all about em and they were tremendous. It adds to the game. I'm sure it's because I've never seen a real Lions cheerleader in the past during an NFL game where the Lions play but it's a no-brainer.
Great job by the Lions for getting this thing going so fast. Hopefully they saw what everyone else saw too.
