GM Closes Plants Due To Weather
The closure of the Blue Water Bridge due to weather conditions interrupted General Motors' supply pipeline.
Workers at the Flint Truck Assembly plant were sent home at 10:30 yesterday (Tues) morning due to a lack of parts, and we don't yet know whether that plant will reopen today (Wed).
Meantime, GM's Lansing Grand River plant will be closed today (Wed) because of a lack of parts. That factory makes the Cadillac CTS and STS. The Lansing facility is due to reopen Thursday.
In addition, several of GM's Canadian plants are down because of bad weather.
