LED Innovator Relume Technologies Names Industry Veteran as New CEO

Oxford-based Relume Technologies, a manufacturer of light-emitting diode products and smart grid control systems for outdoor lighting applications, has hired lighting industry veteran Crawford Lipsey as CEO.

Company officials said the appointment marks a new stage in the company's growth, as it expands its product offering and grows its municipal and commercial client base.

Lipsey succeeds Mike McClear, who how has the positions of CFO and COO.

Lipsey is a 30-year veteran of the lighting industry and most recently served as part of the executive management team of Acuity Brands, Inc., a $1.6 billion manufacturer of multiple lighting and control brands representing the largest lighting company in North America.  Lipsey was also president and vice chairman of the board of directors of Acuity Brands Technology Services, an incubator for entrepreneurial activity for the Acuity Brands family. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
