Merit sets 2011 Member Conference: Merit Network Inc. will hold its 2011 Merit Member Conference May 18-19 in Ann Arbor. Look for announcements in the new year about registration, featured speakers and more. Merit has issued a call for presentations now, though. Topics from a wide range of networking, computing and technology subjects are welcome. Presentation slots are from 45 to 50 minutes in length, and presenters whose proposals are accepted may attend the full conference at a reduced price. Proposals are due by March 1. Plex Sets Webinars For Metalformers, Food And Beverage Firms: Auburn Hills-based Plex Systems Inc. is holding free Webinars in January to demonstrate the software as a service ERP offering Plex Online for metalforming manufacturers and food and beverage processors. The Webinar for metalformers will be held Thursday, Jan. 13 and the Webinar for food and beverage processors will be held Thursday, Jan. 20. Both will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time. These industry-specific events offer manufacturers and processors an opportunity to experience Plex Online as they would use it in their day-to-day operations. Participants will see how Plex Online tracks lot properties while optimizing and improving mission-critical business processes such as inventory control, traceability, quality assurance, tooling management, allergen tracking, lean production and recipe management.
