Matt Dery's Daily Update 12-21-10

Rip Hamilton was back at Pistons practice today in Auburn Hills and is upset. Rip is angry at a Detroit News report that today insinuates that he has quit on his Pistons teammates. Rip says he did not know about John Kuester's lineup changes until this morning and that he will do whatever it takes to help the team now coming off the bench. Rip adds that he hopes Joe Dumars finds out who leaked some of the discontent to the Detroit News. Rip concluded with saying he wants to be a Piston for life. The Pistons take on the Raptors tomorrow night in Toronto.

Lions Coach Jim Schwartz joined Stoney and Bill this morning and Schwartz again remained very quiet about who starts under center Sunday. When asked about Drew Stanton's health all Schwartz would say is that he is sore like a lot of the other guys.

Speaking of injuries, a blow to the Michigan State offense, wide out B.J. Cunningham broke his foot at practice this weekend and will not play in the Capital One Bowl next week against Alabama.

Michigan heading to the Gator Bowl and the Wolverines announce today that they are done selling their allotment of tickets for the game. Michigan was given over 12,000 tickets to sell and sold 7,000 according to a school official.
