DPD Investigates, Deadly 24 Hours In City

A deadly day in the city of Detroit, with Detroit Police investigating several murders occuring within a 24-hour time span.

One person is dead in a house that was fire-bombed late Wednesday night on Manistique, on Detroit's east side.

A witness tells WWJ the house was riddled with bullets, and was then torched.   Detroit Police Gang Squad was called in to investigate.    

Earlier Wednesday, Detroit Police were called during the noon hour to an alley in the 5000-block of Kulick on the city's southeast side.

When officers got to the scene they found one person dead from gunshot wounds and another badly hurt. That victim later died at the hospital. So far no arrests have been made.

Then, Tuesday night the body of a man was found in the parking lot of a Burger King at 7 Mile and Greenfield. Preliminary indications are the victim had been shot. No arrests have been made and a motive remains unknown.
