A Macomb County man is dead following a rollover accident on I-696 in Center Line.
Police say the man was thrown out of the car he was driving after it crashed into the median wall in the eastbound lanes of I-696 near the entrance ramp to Van Dyke. This accident happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday. The freeway was shutdown for nearly four hours. It is re-opened now.
It’s unclear what caused the car to veer into the median wall and roll over. Michigan State Police troopers will be investigating to determine what caused the crash.
The identity of the Macomb County man hasn’t been released.
