Detroit Lions Gear Is Hot

The Detroit Lions have won three games in a row and now the cash registers are ringing as Lions fans jump on the bandwagon.

WWJ Newsradio 950's Mike Campbell stopped by the Fanatic U store in Berkley where he spoke with Jack Harrington and his brother Frank, who were shopping for Lions apparel. Jack, who is 15 years-old, was looking to buy Lions t-shirts. He tells WWJ that he can't remember when the team last won three straight.

Store co-manager Kelly Yuhn says sales of Lions gear has increased thanks to the winning streak and the holidays.

"Fans want to wear what they see the players wearing," said Yuhn.

Yuhn adds that rookie defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh is very popular with the fans and they sell a lot of his jerseys.

The Lions have their first three-game winning streak since the first half of the 2007 season and its first in December since 1995. They close out the season at home Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
