Napolitano Says Tighter Airport Security For Holidays

If you're flying this holiday week, you may see tighter security measures...more officers and bomb sniffing dogs, full body scanners , and pat down searches.

Since the alleged underwear bomber tried to blow up a plane over Detroit a year ago, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano tells W-W-J News they've accelerated and expanded the development of new technologies in our airports.

"We have been working, obviously, not just within the airports on new technology, but also on better information collection and sharing about passengers so that our efforts can be more intel based as we move through and move up to two million passengers a day safely through U. S. airports."
