Recall Issued For Parsley, Cilantro

A Texas produce company is voluntarily recalling several varieties of fresh greens after confirmation from regulators of a positive test for salmonella on curly parsley in Quebec and cilantro in Detroit.

J&D Produce Inc. of Edinburg, Texas, says it's recalling the two items packed on Nov. 30 and Dec. 6, as well as several other produce items run on the same packing lines. Those items include arugula, leek, collards, curly mustard, gold beet, kale, green swiss chard, plain mustard, plain parsley, kohlarabi, rainbow swiss chard, mint, methileaf, beets, daikon, red swiss chard, turnips, turnip greens and dill.

Products are packed under the Little Bear brand. The company is advising consumers who purchased any of the products to dispose of them or return to the store where purchased for a full refund.

Consumers with questions can call: 1-956-380-0353. The company is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST.
