Water Pressure Returns To Highland Park; Schools Closed

Highland Park homeowners have water, but they are still being encouraged to boil any water used for drinking or cooking.

The Highland Park School district cancelled classes Monday because of the lingering effects of a water system failure that led to fears of contamination.

Highland Park lost water pressure Friday, leading to a boil order because of the risk that disease organisms might infiltrate the drinking water system.

Repair crews have been able to restore pressure.  Yopp tells WWJ residents should continue to boil water until sometime Monday morning.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
