Charter Launches Ultra60 Internet Service in Michigan

High-speed Internet just became faster with Charter's introduction of 60Mbps Internet service in Michigan.

This service level has been added to Charter's existing Internet services, which the company says are faster than any other available residential service. 

Charter currently serves Michigan with Internet options up to 25Mbps, but is now taking a major step up in speed with its Charter Internet Ultra60 service, which became available in most Charter markets on Jan. 4.   

"Not only are we delivering the fastest speed available in the area, our network also has the capacity to support even higher speeds as Internet usage continues to evolve," said Joe Boullion, vice president and general manager of Charter's Michigan operations. "Charter's ability to provide increasingly greater speed and reliability is critical to our customers' use and enjoyment of the Internet and delivers greater value. According to Boullion, Charter Internet Ultra60 enables customers to download a 4 gigabyte movie approximately 40 times faster than 1.5-Mbps DSL service. Internet users also will find they can multitask more effectively.

"With Ultra60, our High Speed customers can efficiently access ultiple sources simultaneously to download music, watch a movie trailer, catch up on e-mail or surf the Internet on one screen," Boullion added.

As with all Charter Internet services, Ultra60 is ultra safe with Charter Security Suite for PC protection, including anti-virus, anti-spam, parental controls and much more, at no additional cost. Charter also offers additional value-added features including wireless home networking.
