Troy-based Grid4 Communications Inc. said last week that it had added voice, Internet and data services to the Troy-based technology trade association Automation Alley and Proctor Financial, a mortgage insurance provider also based in Troy.
Proctor Financial president and CEO Paul Glantz said that using Grid4’s network will allow it to increase efficiency and lower costs while being able to scale their communication technology to match its growth and future needs.
“We wanted to equip our business with technology that will give us an advantage in the marketplace and be able to maintain our emphasis on customer service and benefits,” Glantz said.
Automation Alley, meanwhile, will upgrade to Grid4’s SmartComm Hosted Internet Protocol Complete system for a more functional and feature rich communications experience.
Hosted Internet Protocol telephony is quickly replacing traditional phone systems at all types and sizes of companies. Hosted IP Complete from Grid4 is a fully integrated system that will increase efficiencies and lower costs. It enables full access to a set of features that include an auto attendant, music on hold, visual voice-mail, and other call management amenities.
Christopher Hopkins, CEO of Grid4. said that “Hosted IP Complete, paired with Grid4’s network, delivers an easy to use, powerful, business-class communications solution without the expense and maintenance of an on-premise PBX.”
Grid4 was Automation Alley’s 2009 technology company of the year.
