Dusting Of Snow Leaves Roads Slick In Spots

It was another early morning for road crews and independent snow plow drivers.

Snow flurries laid another dusting of snow on southeast Michigan Saturday morning.  The snow combined with wet roads and slush is making for slippery road conditions Saturday morning.

Icy, dicey conditions have been reported throughout Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.  The fast lane on many freeways remained snow-covered early Saturday morning, although salt trucks were out.  The orange flashers on plow trucks were visible in commercial parking lots as well as on the roads.

Police advise drivers to slow down whenever roads are wet, slushy, and/or snow-covered.  Click here for the latest traffic information.

The Friday afternoon drive was slower than normal as a result of snow-covered roads.  A number of spinout accidents were reported throughout Metro Detroit since Friday morning, although no serious injuries have been reported.
