Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver who hit and killed 43 year-old Chris Lentz early New Year’s Day.

Crime Stoppers Michigan President John Broad says Lentz was walking home after working the night shift at Mama Mia’s Pizza in Wayne.

“At approximately 2:44 a.m., an unknown vehicle struck Chris on Merriman Road, just North of Van Bourn Road in Wayne Michigan. If you have any information about this crime, stay anonymous and call Crime Stoppers of Michigan,” Broad said.

Police are reviewing video from nearby businesses to try to get a description of the vehicle.

The number to call for Crimestoppers is 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
