An income tax company on the city’s eastside was damaged Thursday evening when a car plowed into the building.  It happened at Liberty Tax on East Seven Mile near Conant.

Witnesses tell WWJ’s Stephanie Davis that the driver of a car tried to pass several other vehicles when it apparently lost control on the ice and slammed into the building.

There were about five people inside the building at the time of the crash, and one was injured by falling bricks.  A two-year-old boy was among those inside, but was not injured.

Police are investigating.
