MCTA Inaugural Coverage Available On Demand At Charter, Comcast
The commercial-free coverage of the 2011 Michigan Inaugural provided as a public service by the Michigan Cable Telecommunications Association is now available to the state's Charter Communications and Comcast subscribers through the "On Demand" option.
The coverage -- hosted by veteran Michigan political observer Craig Ruff of Public Sector Consultants and noted author and Detroit Free Press columnist Rochelle Riley – originally aired Jan. 1 on Michigan Government Television channels on cable systems around the state.
To view video of two hours of inaugural coverage, Charter subscribers should go to their On Demand screen and select: iWant More > Local Interest > Community. Comcast subscribers have two options, including going to their On Demand screen and selecting: Get Local > ComcastTV > Inaugural 2011. Comcast subscribers can also watch the inaugural programming on channel 900, a dedicated digital channel, at the following times: Jan. 14 at 4 p.m.; Jan. 16 at 5 p.m.; or Jan. 18 at 9 p.m.
The MCTA's programming included the governor's inaugural speech, swearing-in ceremonies of the state's newly elected officials, and exclusive interviews conducted by MCTA Executive Director Colleen McNamara.
