Suspect Arrested After Several Robberies

Dearborn Police say they have arrested a suspect in a pair of gas station robberies and several armed heists throughout Metro Detroit.

Investigators say the 50 year old Detroit man was arrested thanks to the work of several area police agencies.

The man is accused of at least two B-P gas station robberies in Dearborn, including one on Christmas Day. In addition, police say the man is suspected in a string of increasingly violent hold ups at service stations in Canton, Garden City, Centerline, Warren and Clinton Township.

Police say the suspect, who was becoming more violent, is a repeat offender who entered the gas stations demanding money from the clerks at gunpoint, striking several clerks in the head.

The suspect is due in court for arraignment Friday.
