Snow And Freezing Rain To Hit Southeast Michigan

Fasten your seal belt, it's going to be an icy drive.

A Winter Weather Advisory is posted for all of southeastern Michigan from 2 a.m. Tuesday through noon.

We are expecting a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain to blanket the area.

Roads will be icy for the morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow and freezing rain will fall between 2 and 6 a.m.

Later Tuesday morning cold rain is expected south of M-59 before changing back to snow tomorrow afternoon.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.  Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

Slow down and use caution if you are driving.
