Bogus Kid Rock Tickets - Bummer For Would-Be Concert Goers
When you buy tickets on the Internet for sporting or entertainment events, it can be a risky venture. WWJ Newsradio 950's Rob Sanford reports some people learned that lesson the hard way.
Kid Rock celebrated his birthday in a big way on Saturday at Ford Field, before a sold out crowd of appreciative fans.
But some people who thought they were going to see the concert, were turned away. It's because they bought their tickets from Craigslist, some paying hundreds of dollars, only to find out they were fake.
An exact number of those scammed is not known, but authorities say it's easily more than a hundred. To make matters worse - the bogus ducats looked so authentic, even Ticketmaster officials had a hard time spotting them.
