A Riverview woman has been charged with embezzling money from the high school’s booster club.

39-year old Shelie Anne Gendron faces up to ten years in jail if convicted, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office.

Gendron is accused of embezzling over $14,000 dollars while she was the treasurer of the Riverview Community High School Booster Club for the varsity football team.  The alleged theft occurred between April and November 2010.
