Fans Get Pre-Season Fun At TigerFest
DETROIT (WWJ) It may be frigid outside, but in a few months it'll be warm and time for baseball at Comerica Park.
Saturday during Tigerfest at Comerica was a chance for fans to meet players and coaches before spring training.
Second baseman Scott Sizemore is hoping for a great season. "For me this year, I kinda had a chip on my shoulder ..... I had a lot of ground to make up also, so I started a little earlier than I normally would. I think I started the third week in October, started working out four times a week, and you know started doing some more baseball stuff . So I'm looking forward to spring training getting out there and you know, showing everybody what I got."
The sold out Tigerfest featured autograph sessions, player photos, and behind the scene tours.
Tigers slugger Magglio Ordonez was asked if he was going to hit a lot of home runs this season.
"Well, I don't focus on hitting home runs. I just focus to, you know, to be healthy and try to play every day. I know if you play every day the numbers they're going to be there , so I'm 100 percent. I'm working really hard and looking forward to having a great season." Ordonez said.
Tickets are on sale for the Tigers upcoming season.
