Police: Teacher Not Suspected Of Dealing Drugs

Warren (WWJ) - A Warren teacher arrested during a traffic stop for heroin possession is not being suspected of dealing drugs.

The Warren Police Commissioner tells The Daily Tribune the drugs were for Edward Youngs' personal use and he'll be prosecuted like anyone else.

The 31-year-old teaches physical education at Holden Elementary School in Sterling Heights, and at Susick Elementary in Troy. He was pulled over last Friday evening for making an improper turn. After being asked to step out of the vehicle for suspicious behavior, officers found packets of heroin on the car's floor. Youngs was arraigned Tuesday and posted a $10,000 bond.
