DETROIT (WWJ) The 8th Annual WWJ Radiothon benefiting THAW is happening now at the Detroit Science Center.  WWJ Newsradio 950 broadcast  LIVE for 31 hours straight, til  noon on Saturday, to help local families stay warm this winter.

While there were countless stories of those that have benefited from THAW, there were also heartfelt stories about giving back.

WWJ’s Marie Osborne spoke with Laurel Burns from Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency in Pontiac, “You never know who you might be helping, or even when you may need the help yourself, so I encourage people to make the donations.”

Charlie LeDuff, Fox 2 TV Reporter speaking about why he gives, “It’s important to say that 90 cents of every dollar goes to the people. This isn’t some bureaucracy that is pocketing the money.”
