Cross-Country Skiing Gets Snow Boost

MILFORD (WWJ) Kensington Metropark Cross-Country Ski Center will remain open one more weekend in response to snow-filled forecast.

With a tempest of white powder expected to blanket Kensington Metropark come mid-week, the Ski Center at Kensington Metropark will remain open one additional weekend, to accommodate skiers who wish to enjoy excellent snow conditions.

Originally scheduled to close January 31, the Ski Center will now be open until February 7, after which the Golf Starter Building/Cross-Country Ski Center will close, as site preparation begins for construction of a new Golf Starter/Ski Center Building.

Skiers can also rent equipment to ski the trails at nearby Huron Meadows Metropark, near Brighton, or at Hudson Mills, Stony Creek and Willow Metroparks. Ski trails are also located at Indian Springs, Lake Erie and Metro Beach Metroparks. Check HERE for ski trail conditions.
