Gas Station TV Going On Hiring Spree

Calling all techies, marketing and media savvy professionals: Birmingham-based Gas Station TV is one local company that is not cutting jobs. On the contrary, GSTV continues to grow and create jobs both locally and nationally.

Gas Station TV delivers news content and advertising to high-quality flat-panel monitors mounted atop gas pumps. Since its launch five years ago, GSTV has grown from a five-station pilot in Dallas, Texas to being watched across the country by 27 million drivers each month.

"As we significantly expand our national footprint this year, and more advertisers use GSTV to fill the gaps in their media mix with our DVR-proof television platform, we need great people to join and help us with this rapid growth," said CEO David Leider.

With GSTV, consumers at the pump can catch up on news, entertainment, local weather, exclusive ESPN sports updates, and local events via GSTV's original content program; Your Neighborhood.

In November 2009, GSTV relocated its headquarters and "Mission-Control" Network Operations Center from its original startup location to a storefront in downtown Birmingham.

"We are a media and technology company that could've gone anywhere in the U.S. but we know Detroit is full of great talent and we wanted to stay and support the community where this all began," Leider said.

Currently the company has multiple positions open in Detroit, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago in departments such as IT, creative, business development and sales.
