Trenton Woman Who Taunted Sick Girl Guilty Of Assault

A Trenton woman who taunted the family of a seven-year old girl who is dying from an incurable disease pled guilty to assault and battery and will have to move out of the neighborhood.

Jennifer Petkov pled guilty to assault and battery in Wayne County Circuit Court Tuesday morning.  She was sentenced to 18-months probation, but will undergo a psychological evaluation and anger management.

Petkov also has to stay away from her neighbor Tana Boling and the five block area  of Trenton where she lived on Detroit Street.

Petkov was dubbed heartless after posting a photo of terminally ill schoolgirl Kathleen Edwards on Facebook above a set of skull and crossed bones.  After the girl's mother died last year, Petkov also allegedly drove their truck-labeled 'Death Machine' and has a coffin attached down the street honking the horn.

Residents said the attacks were the culmination of a bitter, long-running feud between the Petkovs and other families in the neighborhood.
