Fisher Heads West To Oregon

While part of the country was still sound asleep, Pac-10 champion Oregon picked up one of the first commitments of the day in Traverse City (MI) offensive tackle Jacob Fisher. A Michigan decommitment following the departure of head coach Rich Rodriguez, Fisher selected the Ducks over Michigan, Michigan State and Florida.

The 6-foot-7, 260 pound tackle will likely redshirt upon arriving in Eugene but has the frame that should allow him to put on some weight and project as a left tackle in the near future. He is the 23rd commitment to Oregon in the class of 2011 but the first to fax in the paperwork.
